Community, Our Cornerstone in Washington and Oregon
Trends come and go, but community is central to Columbia Distributing’s history and mission. Giving back connects our company to the causes we believe in. We’re proud to support business practices and organizations that improve our region and the lives of our neighbors.
With a nod to the beer community, we started the Jack Joyce Scholarship Program with Oregon-based brewery Rogue Ales in honor of its founder, the late Jack Joyce. The award is given to future brewers enrolled in Oregon State University’s fermentation science program.
We offer tuition reimbursement to our Columbia Distributing family for approved, work-related courses. Established in 2016, our scholarship program is available to the dependent children and grandchildren of all active, full-time employees.
Columbia Distributing recognizes the role the Northwest’s abundant resources have played in our success, and we’re not about to squander them. Efforts to preserve this beautiful region are woven into each process. Minimizing our impact is our responsibility, helping to ensure that where we live and what we love will endure.
The future and fortune of our communities depend on good health. We stand beside organizations that advocate for better access, treatment and research for all, including St. Jude Children’s Hospital, American Cancer Society, Ronald McDonald House Charities and The V Foundation.
Making the world a better place starts with helping out at home. Columbia Distributing supports several community organizations with volunteer efforts, charitable giving and beverage donations. Our partners include Boys & Girls Clubs of America, Habitat for Humanity, Wounded Warriors, United Way and Children’s Miracle Network.
