In 1899 a German Brewmaster was developing a new beer in an old brewery named ‘El Salto del Agua’ (The Water Spring) near Mexico City, when a ray of bright sunlight shone through his brew. This event fired his imagination, leading him to name his new beer ‘El Sol’. Sol was born in the land of the free spirit and this is something that remains very much part of who we are today.
